Adult Leadership

The Adult Leadership Program provides an opportunity for community leaders to participate in an adult learning environment that is interactive and promotes dialogue, teambuilding, and trust.

This program brings together, often for the first time, individuals who represent different dimensions of our communities. Each class embodies the diversity of geographic, ethnic and professional backgrounds in our community. Each year a select group of 45 individuals with demonstrated leadership status in the community is chosen to take part in an intensive nine-month experience. Following a weekend retreat which helps the class bond as a team, nine day-long program sessions held monthly help participants explore core issues in depth.

Session agendas will be emailed to Class members approximately one week prior to the session. The agenda will also be posted on the Leadership Palm Beach County website: www.leadershippbc.org

The bus pick-up and drop-off location will vary;
the departure time will be 7:30 a.m. sharp unless otherwise noted on the agenda. 

"My favorite experience with the Adult Program was going to regions that would not normally occur to me...to witness the real fiber of the county. Agriculture day is a prime example of seeing the unseen world of the migrant farm worker.  Cane burning was fascinating; the beauty of the soil and the richness of produce, along with the efficiency of harvesting brought a greater appreciation of the good earth."
