Civic Engagement Class Projects 2017


All members of the Leadership Engage Program partner with Palm Beach County nonprofit and governmental organizations to complete a civic engagement project.  This year's class selected five community partners and will spend nine months conducting research, developing materials and presenting their findings in order to empower these organizations to reach their goals.

Current Class of 2017 Projects -

  • Center for Child Counseling.: project to bring awareness to ACEs (Adverse Childhood Experiences) by developing an annual event, talk or conference.

  • Education Foundation of Palm Beach County: project to help establish a Red Apple Supply Store in the western communities of Palm Beach County. 

  • Milagro Center: project to conduct a feasibility study to open a second learning center in West Palm Beach.

  • Palm Beach Habilitation Center.: project to create a mission video about the work of the Palm Beach Habilitation Center and all of their work in the community. 

  • Pediatric Oncology Support Team: the project to develop short video to help young cancer patients cope with their illness.
