Thank you polo community!

Leadership Palm Beach County has been selected as one of the charities in the 2015 Great Charity Challenge.

That means, our organization is guaranteed at least $15,000 in proceeds that we can apply toward expanding our leadership programs and inspiring more leaders to pursue lifetime commitments to doing public good in Palm Beach County.

Presented by Fidelity Investments, the 2015 Great Charity Challenge is an equestrian competition to be held on Saturday, Feb. 7 at the Palm Beach International Equestrian Center. The event started in 2010 for the equestrian world to give back to our community. To date, it has generated more than $6 million benefiting more than 100 Palm Beach County charities.

LPBC is one of many local charities selected to benefit from 2015 Great Charity Challenge.

“What a great event to benefit our community,” said Tammy Clarke, president of LPBC. “We’re honored to be selected and we envision using these proceeds to engage more leaders in improving our region.”

Come out and support us.  The event is free and starts at 6 pm.

Here’s how the event works:

It’s a relay style equestrian jumping competition with teams consisting of two junior/amateur riders combined with one Olympic or world-class rider. The 35 rider teams are randomly paired with 35 charities that serve Palm Beach County.

  • 100% of all proceeds go straight to benefit charities.
  • The winning team of riders will be awarded $150,000 for its charity.
  • Every charity selected will win a guaranteed minimum of $15,000.
