Numerous Students and Businesses Participated in Our Groundhog Day Job Shadow

They went to leading local employers to learn how business is done. They followed industry leaders to meetings and lunch. And they got to ask big questions on how to fulfill their career dreams.

Close to 60 Palm Beach County high school seniors participated in our fourth annual Groundhog Day Job Shadow on February 12 in partnership with The School District of Palm Beach County.

There were seven participating organizations from government, law, engineering, nonprofit and many other sectors who had the students follow their employees. Special thanks to those organizations: Ward, Damon, Posner, Pheterson, & Bleau; Leadership Palm Beach County; Clerk & Comptroller, Palm Beach County; American Cancer Society; Sikorsky Aircraft; City of West Palm Beach; and Kimley-Horn.

The event focused on education training, job readiness and resume building, as well as allowing students to just observe what happens in the workplace.
