Welcome Ryan Tallman as LPBC’s new Operations Manager!
As Ryan puts it, he’s here to provide support any way he can to help our participants and alumni thrive in making LPBC stronger and our community a better place for all.
Ryan explains below.
1) What are your responsibilities at LPBC?
Ryan Tallman: Among my many duties, I am primarily responsible for ensuring organizational effectiveness and increasing efficiency in the organization’s administrative functions. Other job functions include ensuring all of LPBC accounting and financial obligations are met. These responsible include bookkeeping, payroll, accounts receivable/payable, grant reporting, budget preparation, and assisting with the annual audit. Other administrative tasks include managing human resources, informational technology, and physical infrastructure needs.
Additionally, I am responsible for assisting the CEO with developing and implementing organizational strategies, policies, and procedures.
2) Why did you want to work for the organization?
Ryan Tallman: I was fortunate in that I grew up in a community that was full of engaged volunteers and strong leaders who were committed to improving the community. I have seen the physical and social impact these community leaders can have on building a stronger and more vibrant community.
I want to apply my experience and skill-set toward working with an organization that helps build a more connected community of leaders who will work together to address challenges facing our community.
3) So far, what do you like most about your job and LPBC?
Ryan Tallman: The people! While I have only been with the organization for a few weeks, I have met many of the most amazing people who are committed to improving and serving Palm Beach County. I am excited to be a part of an organization that will make our community better!
4) How will you contribute to helping LPBC’s alumni and program participants build a stronger community in Palm Beach County?
Ryan Tallman: The best way I can contribute is by being informed and engaged about the issues concerning Palm Beach County and by providing support in any way I can to help our participants and alumni thrive in our community and our organization.
