WEST PALM BEACH, FL – Leadership Palm Beach County presented the 9th Annual Leadership Excellence Award recently to Patrick McNamara, the President and CEO of the Community Partnership Group.
Over 330 community leaders attended the award event sponsored by Florida Power & Light and Gunster Attorneys at Law, and celebrated the community contributions of eleven award finalists and nominees – all alumni of Leadership Palm Beach County’s yearlong leadership program. Since 2004, the Leadership Excellence Award has recognized one individual in Palm Beach County who has made a significant contribution to improve our community and who possess the leadership qualities of integrity, compassion, credibility, passion, risk-taking, fairness, empowerment and humility.
As President and CEO of the Community Partnership Group, Patrick McNamara directs two member nonprofits, Housing Partnership and the Parent-Child Center. According to Allison LaBossiere, a Community Partnership Group board member, McNamara’s model of shared governance and financial oversight of the two agencies have led this unique organization to a place of unparalleled strength and integrity. McNamara was awarded the county's first U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development grant to develop housing for people with disabilities. Patrick has overseen the growth and development of CPG into a strong, impactful organization with a combined annual operating budget of $15 million and a staff of over 200 employees – all working toward a single mission: to provide an array of economic, housing and social/emotional services for targeted community development that changes the odds for at-risk families in Palm Beach County.
