LPBC Announces New Executive Director

January 24, 2006

On behalf of the Board of Governors, I am pleased to announce Leadership Palm Beach County's new Executive Director, Krista Springer.  Krista brings to the role successful experience in both the for-profit and non-profit sectors.

She has a background helping deliver best-practice approaches to leadership, management and performance improvement as a consultant and marketing executive.  Her work with companies like Teach For America and The Gallup Organization introduced her to a wealth of information and experts in the field of leadership learning.

Krista has gained unique perspective as a graduate of leadership programs like the University of Florida's Wedgworth Leadership Institute.  She will leverage this experience, along with nearly 15 years of volunteerism and community involvement, to build on the strengths of LPBC's programs and enhance the experience for participants and alumni.

Krista has a clear commitment to cultivating the leadership potential of our alumni group in work to build a stronger community.  She has already begun work with our current Leadership class on their project with the Emergency Management Operations Center, and is organizing the Hands-On Leadership Workday for February 11th.

Please join us in welcoming Krista.  We encourage you to contact to her at Krista@leadershippbc.org, or by phone at 561.748.8182, to share your vision as we all work to shape the future of Palm Beach County.

Michele Gurto DeLong
2005-2006 President
