Get to know three of our outstanding leaders nominated for the Leadership Excellence Award 2013: Barbara I. Cheives - Class of 2002, Jack Lansing - Class of 2004, and Jay Shearouse - Class of 1987.
Leadership Palm Beach County will celebrate the ninth annual Leadership Excellence Awards recognizing exceptional Leadership program graduates who have made significant contributions to improve our community. Presented by Florida Power & Light and Gunster, the event is planned for April 18th at The Marriott West Palm Beach Hotel.

After almost a year of close collaboration with an LPBC Civic Engagement team, the Palm Beach County Cultural Council presented survey results of its Artists’ Needs Assessment to local artists.
2012 Youth Leadership Graduation

On May 16th, forty-five high school juniors graduated from LPBC's Youth Leadership Program with newfound appreciation of our county's diversity, industries, and challenges. Guests enjoyed an entertaining keynote address by actor and producer, Frank Licari. Eight scholarships were awarded to students for their outstanding essays about the impact of the Youth Leadership Program on their outlook and future career plans.

On Thursday, April 26, a small group of LPBC alumni had the opportunity to engage the new Palm Beach County School District Superintendent Wayne Gent in dialogue about our schools. The event was part of an on-going Up Close and Personal conversation series that allow active alumni to meet the county's preeminent leaders in small group settings.
