LEADERSHIP EXCELLENCE AWARD TO CELEBRATE 10 YEARS
WEST PALM BEACH, FL – Palm Beach County’s award season is in full swing, but the area’s can’t miss special event is Leadership Palm Beach County’s 10th Annual Leadership Excellence Awards. Leaders from all over the county will walk the blue carpet on Friday, April 25th at 6:30pm at the Kravis Center Cohen Pavilion in West Palm Beach and celebrate a leadership program graduate who has made significant contributions to improve our community.
The event will honor finalists who are nominated by Leadership alumni as well as current class members, and announce this year’s recipient. In its tenth year, the Leadership Excellence Award event will shine a spotlight on the past beneficiaries of the award. Honorary Chairmen of the event are Don Chester of St. Mary’s Medical Center, Gale Howden, retired and David Baker of Alley, Maass, Lindsay & Rogers, the first three recipients of the honor, respectively. This is the first year the event will be held on a Friday night and will feature the incredible sounds of Wonderama.
Co-Chairmen of the event are Dorothy Bradshaw of South Florida Water Management District and Patrick McNamara of Community Partners and recipient of the 2013 award.
“Leadership Palm Beach County provides access to the county’s most diverse industries and a unique opportunity for civic engagement. My deep involvement with the program has helped to shape the network in which I am now connected. This event will provide needed funding to support the programs which allow access to Palm Beach County’s courtrooms, newsrooms, schools, farms and the businesses that drive our economy,” said Patrick McNamara, Co-Chairman of the event.
Finalists of the award are selected based on the vision and mission of Leadership Palm Beach County. These individuals reflect the leadership qualities of integrity, compassion, credibility, passion, risk-taking, fairness, empowerment and humility.
