WEST PALM BEACH, FL – Leadership Palm Beach County will once again honor one of its program graduates at its not-to-be-missed Leadership Excellence Award event. The celebration, now in its 11th year, will be held on Friday, April 24th, at 6:30 p.m., at the Kravis Center Cohen Pavilion, in West Palm Beach. The evening of dinner, awards and live entertainment will recognize an individual for making significant contributions to improve our community, with Master of Ceremonies, Bill Bone.

The event will honor finalists who are nominated by fellow Leadership alumni and current class members, and culminating the event is the announcement of this year’s 2015 Leadership Excellence Award.  Honorary Chairmen of the event are Rudy Schupp, President – Florida Division of Valley National Bank, and Art Menor, Partner at Shutts & Bowen. When asked why organizations should support and attend this event, Mr. Schupp responded: “Extraordinary achievements can be obtained when organizations get involved. A great community takes involvement and effort.  In alignment, Leadership Palm Beach County and the businesses being run here can be powerful drivers of enhanced quality of life and economic growth.”

Co-Chairs of the event are Kathy Wall, with Community Partners, Rose Novotny, and Keely Gideon-Taylor, both with The Palm Beach Post.

“From government, to health, to education, environment and many more, the Leadership Palm Beach County Adult Program is, for many of its participants, the first and only opportunity they will have to gain insight into how these offices or industries operate in the County. The relationships built, both professional and personal, are invaluable to the community and the economy they drive. The Leadership Excellence Award event will not only bestow proper recognition on an outstanding individual, it will also provide needed funding to support LPBC programs,” said Rose Novotny, Co-Chair of the event.

Finalists of the award are selected based on the vision and mission of Leadership Palm Beach County, and who reflect the leadership qualities of integrity, compassion, credibility, passion, risk-taking, fairness, empowerment and humility.

Sponsors of the event include Shutts & Bowen, LLP, Valley National Bank, The Palm Beach Post, The Worth Avenue Group of Palm Beach Inc., Haile Shaw & Pfaffenburger, P.A., Dignity Memorial and Community Partners, Home to: Housing Partnership and Parent-Child Center.

Tickets to the Leadership Excellence Awards are $125. Sponsorship opportunities are still available. For more information or to purchase tickets, call 561-833-4321 or visit LeadershipPBC.org/LEA.
