Leadership Palm Beach County Names New CEO: Courtney Curatolo

WEST PALM BEACH FL, Sept. 11, 2015 - Leadership Palm Beach County (LPBC) has named Courtney Curatolo, PhD as its new chief executive officer, effective immediately.

Curatolo has extensive experience in organizing, running, and growing leadership organizations. A graduate of the Leadership Collier Class of 2007 and the Leadership Florida Class of XXVII, she co-founded Leadership Hendry and Glades Counties and facilitated the first three classes of the program.

Her professional experience also includes working in both the corporate and nonprofit sectors on government and community affairs, issue and candidate campaigns, economic development, and leadership training. 

“We’re fortunate to have Courtney as our new CEO,” said Kim Jones, board president of LPBC. “There are many new programs and initiatives at LPBC, and Courtney is the right person to lead us during this exciting time.”

Curatolo has spent most of her life in Naples, Florida. She has a Ph.D. in Adult and Community Educational Leadership from Florida Atlantic University, a M.A. in Public Administration from Florida Gulf Coast University, and a B.A. in Political Science from American University. 

“I believe in the philosophy of servant leadership,” Curatolo said. “It’s the belief that the leader’s role is to achieve results for the organization by giving priority to the needs of colleagues and those they serve.”



Leadership Palm Beach County, Inc., is an educational 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization designed to foster awareness of community issues and promote efficient communication and cooperative relationships between existing and emerging community leaders. LPBC’s stated mission is to educate and unite leaders to build a better community.  Initiated in 1983 through a collaborative effort of the local Chambers of Commerce, LPBC has prepared more than 1,000 graduates for enhanced community leadership roles.
