Florida Insurance Trust enters 5th year, saving non-profits $

Florida Insurance Trust, www.FloridaInsuranceTrust.com, is a member-owned and governed property/casualty insurance trust, formed in 2007 to provide for reduced insurance costs and better coverage than standard insurance companies.

2011 marks the Trust's fifth year of operations, and is currently the only Trust of its kind in the State of Florida.  Modeled after trusts that most cities, counties and taxing districts use to purchase insurance, FIT has grown to serve the needs of approximately 85 non-profits across the State.

Don Noel, a Leadership Palm Beach County Class of 2000 alumni, serves as Vice President, Sales for the company that administers the Trust.  "Our members have saved hundreds of thousands of dollars while enhancing their coverage by pooling together to buy insurance" says Noel.

"Further, the Trust retains very little risk, and simply passes on the cost savings resulting from group purchasing.  Our members enjoy great pricing on Workers Comp, Property, General, Professional and Auto Liability as well as Directors and Officers insurance."
